Hi all, so my motherboard is an ASUS model M2N-E and I just managed to fix the problem that prevented me from successfully installing Windows 8 earlier today.
Now that I'm running Windows 8, I plugged in a brand new set of Harman Kardon Soundsticks III and the sound quality is terrible. Very faint and staticky.
I was told that I needed to download the sound/audio driver and that it could be found on ASUS' website but there is none. I actually downloaded some other versions and other audio drivers but they all end the same way: with an error message saying it is not supported.
What can I do? I think I may have had some kind of Realtek driver previously when I was running on XP a while ago but it was probably deleted while installing Windows 8.
