Force Installing XPDM Drivers on Windows 8?

I have a problem here, I installed Windows 8 2 days ago and it was ok except for my VGA Adapter. It seems uncompatible because of it being XPDM. I don't mind the MS one except for the fact that I have to use the 1280 x 1024 which squishes everything downwards on my monitor. If anyone can advice a way to force install the driver OR modify the resolution that would be great.

    My VGA Specs:

    Samsung S16A100N - Monitor

    Intel 82865G - Onboard Graphics

Have you tried to auto detect your drivers?

Should only take a couple of minutes at most. I would suggest to stop the process and start again if you think it is taking too long.
You say it is on-board graphics, so you may actually need to check the motherboard drivers too, not just the graphics drivers.

865 Series? That board was special on 2003-2004, but now? It was hero to zero.
Sorry, but XPDM drivers WILL NOT and MAY NOT install on Windows 8, no matter how hard you tried.
I suggest that you downgrade to Windows 7 to use that Graphics.
Or you can change the Display1_DownscalingSupported on registry to 1.

That's an option I'm willing to take if only I know the proper registry key to inject it on
