Solved can't do ctrl + select..and highlight sentences..

i'm using acer iconia w700 windows 8,
with touch screen, i can't perform ctrl + select (i can only do ctrl all with virtual keyboard ), i also can't do highlight sentences for copy n paste purposes..for instance i want to do plagiarism with wikipedia...how to?what's the charm??

now i still need to use real keyboard and mouse..

please help.

to copy text with touch, you tap on a word once. then you drag the dot to highlight the rest of the text. then you choose cut or copy or paste.

yes i can highlight one word..but drag the dot..where is the dot? btw..do u know how to ctrl + select without keyboard n mouse?

i found the dot!!!! with internet explorer.......google chrome nooo..... -_-'....
now the 'ctrl + select' problem...

chrome does not have touch support.

that's why, for my touchscreen PC, I stick with IE10 or Firefox.

in terms of ctrl-select? are you referring to selecting multiple items in a list (like emails) with touch?
for metro apps, you swipe the item to the right to select it. so if you want to select multiple emails 1, 3, 4, 7, and 9, for example, you touch email 1, then you swipe email 3 to the right, then emails 4, 7, 9 to the right as well.

for the desktop, there should be a checkmark box next to each item so you can select multiple items by checking them.

Yes, multiple items such as photos, songs, docs, files...thanks..now I know about the check box...the check box is at top left or left of each item/icon..but it is hard to check/select because the check box is invisible and too small to touch. As long as I know the check box is there it's ok..I'll try to precisely hit the check box...Anyway..thanks dirtyvu

I've changed to lower screen resolution and the problem solved..thanks again:thumb:
