[Drivers for windows 8] should I download them from Mother

The Intel P61/H61 Utility DVD containing chipsets/Serial-ATA/Network/Audio Drivers and bios doesnt run with windows 8. So should I download them from motherboard page? Should I download the lates bios too if so ?
This is my motherboard GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-P61-S3 (rev. 2.0)

Personally, if the motherboard manufacturer supplies Windows 8 drivers, I would use those FIRST before looking for anything else.

Their drivers are more likely to work with their motherboard then other, more generic, drivers.

+1 to what Mark said, I always got to the motherboard manufacturer first for my home built PC's. I wouldn't flash your BIOS unless you have to. Don't treat updating your BIOS like doing a driver update, its a more involved process and has consequences if done incorrectly.

Note that the latest BIOS listed on that Gigabyte Download tab -- the one which enables Secure Boot -- is a Beta release.

For my Gigabyte motherboard *all* of the Win8 features are only on a Beta release. I had flashed the Beta and had a raft of problems, but as it turns out, I don't think they were UEFI/BIOS related, but I dropped back to the previous, stable release during a process of elimination to find the source of my problems.

As always, use a Beta release with caution, and be ready to revert back to the last stable release.

GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-P61-S3 (rev. 2.0)

Ive managed to update/flash (its the same thing?) my bios from F5 to F7 version within an utility provided by motherboard manufacturer called @BIOS ( you can find it on the same support and download section ). I had 3 options to update: from server, file or drive and I choosed the 1st one. The latest F8 version is no longer BETA but I couldnt upgrade to it at least not from server.

However I downloaded the F8 files from manufacturer page , unpacked them and I had 3 files : one windows BATCH file "autoexec"
one aplication "Efiflash" and the F8 file p62s3.f8( I guess I need to put it on a flash drive ) .While atempting to run the 1st one I got the unsupported 16-bit aplication, with Efiflash something similar " this app cant run on this pc" message from windows 8.So should I put them on a flash drive and then from bios menu to enter Q-flash and select update from drive or maybe doing the same witht hat utility I mentioned above?

Ive installed the rest of the drivers from my manufacturer except the SATA RAID/AHCI ones.The Intel Rapid Storage Technology gave me an error that I dont meet the system requirements so I no longer insisted with the others. Hmmm, why are these listed for my motherboard then? or what exactly are they?
