I dont know what is wrong

    Hi guys

I recently bought a hp g6 2204ax notebook and had to take it back as theree were so many problems with it after the mess with installing a windows update

Anyways they have given me a new comp, same one and I am stuck. I have downloaded all newest drivers, updated windows 8 etc but for some reason although I can play you tube videos and skype with people I cannot use chat features on websites such as HP support and webcam chats with livestreams.

I feel I have tried everything but am so stuck now, can someone please help me find out whats wrong...

Using Skype and you use video call or if you use Facebook can you chat on that web site. Hor about Yahoo, or Windows Messenger chat do they work. Might just be the HP Web chat, or try the chat with live stream on Ustream.

Maybe there is a problem with Java, Flash Player? Or maybe its a problem with the webcam software? Does HP Support use some sort of software?

    Thanks guys

I have just noticed one thing, everytime I try to download the adobe flash player it sends me the 32bit installer, is there not a 64bit one for firefox, etc...? I am on 64bit

No that is normal for a 32 bit flash as Firefox is still 32 bit. I will keep researching for you. Want are you using for an anti-virus? Sometimes they cause weird things to happen. When trying chat are you getting prompted to install anything for the chat to work?
