Hey everyone,

I've had windows 8 running for a while and all was going great.

But one day, I decided to use splashtop too control my PC with my iPad. The problem is, even when splashtop is off, windows seems to think im running a touch pc, even though I have a normal desktop. This has caused many inconveniences as it causes windows not to power certain usb ports and gives me a strange keyboard icon.

Is there a way I can make windows stop thinking I'm using a touch pc? Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Don't know your unit or the software and I'm just a hack but in task manager there are some tabs. In "Details" there are two items listed on my unit called tabtip that are related to the touch screen. If you have them you might disable them and give a try.

You could also snoop around the other tabs and see if you find anything relating to touch. You might also open control panel/programs and on the left there is a place to add/replace windows items. You might look around there and see if there is anything you could shut down related to touch.

By the looks of it, the app gives remote access to the PC and it hasn't been disabled. If that's the case, go to Control Panel/RemoteApp and Desktop Connections and see if your device is listed there. If it is, you should be able to disable the connection.
