I might be wrong, but I believe for a limited time you can download Media Center as an app until next year. I'm currently running Windows 8 Pro on my PC and is activated. When I enter the Product Key into the ''add features'' bar it says the key won't work.

Does this mean Windows 8 Pro can't download more features, or is there a problem with my key? I bought the key as a disk form from Amazon and is upgrade from Windows 7.

Depends - you should be able to add media center. It isn't a download - it is already there and needs to be enabled.

Not sure why you are havuing trouble - VL versions don't have it, I believe. I don't know why you would have one those.

Check it and see.

Run this at command prompt and see what it tells you:

Dism /Online /Get-TargetEditions

It might be you are using the wrong key.

The key to enable to enable MC is different form the one you used to install - you can get one from here:

Add features - Microsoft Windows

Thanks. :)

The Product Key I've just got emailed to me worked.

Good - now you can enjoy media centre that you already had in windows 7.

You might want to get an imaging program of some kind - there are several free ones about - this a freebie if you grab it today.

Good idea to image every now and then . If you have any kind of problem - restore the image and all is well.
