    HELP! Dell keybioard not recognised

    Hi

I've just installed Windows 8 on my Dell Inspiron (about 4 years old) but find that my wireless Dell keyboard doesn't work, although the wireless mouse does. In fact some of the buttons on the keyboard work (such as the calculator symbol, but not the alphanumeric keys).

Presumably this is a problem with the driver?

Ive tried updating the driver, but seems to be the latest version. I note that this was raised as an issue on the Forum in May this year, but the situation doesn't seem to have changed. Can anyone help please?

Hi Richard, welcome to the forums, this may or may not work but worth a try, change the in put language to Eng (UK) then switch back to Eng (USA) and see whether it fixes the problem.
Control Panel-> Hardware and sound-> Clock, Language and Region.

    Hi Brummyfan

Thanks for the suggestion, which I've tried - but unfortunately with no effect.

    Regards

    Just out of curiosity:

Did you try the Windows 7 drivers for the wireless keyboard? (From support.dell.com.)
