    picked up the logitech t650 touchpad, its pretty sweet, got it at Best Buy for $59

    it's windows 8 compatible and does 13 different gestures

    @Dirtyvu.. I agree with your logic, but I will just leave it at this for anyone that may find this info useful.

    I have the full ver of win8 installed on a clean drive and I have been able to enable "touch" features by simply using an HID compatible 1point touch controller.

    If you have the system builder version, I'm very surprised that your touchscreen is working. well, count yourself lucky!

    I have deployed Win8 Pro and Enterprise to nearly a dozen devices in our school and touch has worked on all of them. None have 10 point input. All are Lenovo machines including x220 and x230 tablets with two point input, an x61 tablet with single input, and M-series desktops with two point touch. I've been deploying RTM since August without any problems (using MDT). I do agree that you'd be better off waiting a couple of months for touch screen monitors- the prices are going to drop dramatically as more manufacturers try to keep current and release more options. I'm waiting and hoping since I'll start upgrading our MultiPoints to 2012 as soon as the touch screens become affordable.
