    Sidewinder x4 driver issues(?)

    Hello people, first post/thread here...
So the thing is I updated to windows 8 (pro 64 bits) recently, coming from windows 7 ultimate. I decided to "keep files/apps and personal settings", so basically I just didn't do a clean install. The problem now is that my keyboard (sidewinder x4) multimedia keys are kinda ****ed up. I can't really mute, and volume keys go up and down like two times, its like I'm double pressing them, so the volume goes up by 2 everytime I click once the multimedia key (which is really annoying, and ofc didn't happen on windows 7), but what annoys me the most is the fact that I can't really mute the volume totally, for the same reason I suppose, since it double presses those keys, I believe it also double presses the mute key and hence, mutes and unmutes pretty much at the same time.
Before you say anything, yes, I did install latest drivers for win 8 (Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center), and I believe I unistalled the win 7 drivers...
So, is there anything I could do to solve this issue?

PS: Haven't tried the macro keys yet... so can't say if those work or not.

I also had this problem with the same keyboard - sometimes muting worked, sometimes not. I believe that the problem was with the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center 2.0 because now they removed this version from Microsoft website and the only available one is 1.1. Everything works fine with the older version.

Driver issues after 8.1 upgrade in Drivers & Hardware
Hi, I upgraded to 8.1 and noticed issues with my graphics card driver (intel hd4000, so I had to roll that back. Also, before the upgrade I had the Synaptics settings program for my touchpad driver, but after the update that seems to have disappeared. I've searched on Samsung's...
Hello, first time on these forums. I have been trouble shooting my PC since yesterday as the rate that I BSOD has been increasing dramatically. I am by far no expert in troubleshooting so I figured it is time for me to ask others for help and advice. I haven't the slightest clue on how to read...
Yes you read that title correctly and no this is not a joke. I have obtained via a friend who we will call "Bob" <- not his real name worked at M$ and was able to get me the source code for this hardware before m$ sent it all the way of the dodo. I was hoping to be able to use this to make a set...
Printer and driver issues in Drivers & Hardware
Hello I did a clean install of windows 8 pro 64 on a new ssd and have it running well (previously running vista 32). Do I need to install my old drivers? I tried to use the old gigabyte disk but it stuffed up the computer and couldn't recognise cd drive after reboot. Are they all necessary?
Bluetooth driver issues in Drivers & Hardware
Asus VX6 laptop, Razer Orochi mouse, Sennheiser MM 500 X headphones. None of this stuff will stay connected for more then an hour at a time. I am really disappointed in the bluetooth support in Win 8.
