I have two Xbox360 Controllers. Two years ago I bought a Xbox Wireless Adapter on eBay.
I think it's not genuine, only compatible. With Windows7 I managed to install its drivers in this way:
-control panel
-printer and devices
-unknown device
-right click -properties
-update drivers
and I chose manually a folder in the cdrom I have.
It works. It is strange, for example if you switch usb port it doesn't work anymore. It seems to be not plug&play.
Now with Windows8 Pro if I repeat the steps above , when I choose manually the folder, it says: ...Driver found but error during installation. Pc Wireless Gaming Receiver. Impossible to find the file.....
I have also installed the software from Microsoft Website "Xbox 360 Accessories Software 1.2 64 bit per Windows 7 (exe)" and also the previous version (1.1) that I have in the cdrom but it doesn't work.
Could I have some help please?
Thank you.
