Blutooth driver failures on ASUS EP121

I've been using my ASUS EP121 for over a year now and upgraded to the RTM version of Windows 8 but am experiencing repeated Bluetooth driver issues. Every ten minutes of so, my Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and my Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 become unresponsive. The fix is to keep the PC Settings screen open to the Wireless options, swipe that page onto the screen, turn Bluetooth off, wait a few seconds, turn Bluetooth back on, switch to the Devices tab, touch the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 device, wiggle the mouse a little and watch Offline, Driver failure, Online very quickly flash under the device name, and observe the mouse become responsive again.

The only event log entries related to BTHUSB are Warning that "The local adapter does not support Bluetooth Low Energy," event ID. 28.

To piggyback, I'm getting the same entries in the event viewer. The only thing I have ASUS is my motherboard. Luckily, I don't use anything Bluetooth, but hearing the device connect/disconnect sound every minute is really getting annoying. If you manage to find a solution, please let me know and I'll do the same.
