I'm running a Gigabyte S1080 tablet with a native resolution of 1024 x 600, but with a registry change I'm able to adjust that resolution, in Windows 7, to 1024 x768 or 1152 x 864. I can then select any of those resolutions and things work fine.
I've installed Windows 8 as a dual boot option on the tablet, and changed the registry values as I did with Windows 7, but Windows 8 still only sees the 1024 x 600 screen resolution and therefore none of the apps will work. The desktop feature works fine, as does most everything else, but without the apps working, I can't really do much in terms of tablet activity.
Does anyone have a similarly configured tablet or notebook etc and found a way to spoof the screen resolution to get Windows 8 to see a higher screen resolution?
