Hey guys.

I know this is a little specific but maybe someone has had similar problems with another card/driver. I built a new machine and was running Linux for awhile. Didn't like it, downloaded the windows 8 release preview. I formatted my hard drive and installed windows 8. When it booted up the first time I could see wireless networks but could not connect to them. I figured that was typical for a wireless card with no drivers installed. When I installed the drivers from the CD and restarted the computer, the wireless card was no longer visible. No wireless networks show up. I have tried uninstalling the drivers and the wireless card is still not visible. Anybody have any clues?

Any advice is appreciated.

Alternatively you can usinstall driver and remove card and reboot, then re-add card and the install downloaded driver and see if that helps. Keep in mind this is still a beta version and it's still quirky. You could also try installing in in compatibility mode as well.

Yeah, i tried the website's drivers with the same result. I emailed the company's tech support and they simply said there were no windows 8 divers.

Maybe i don't understand compatibility mode... When i tell it to install as windows 7, first it wants to check I'm windows 8. Well it installs, but it doesn't work. So I never get the chance to "install using" windows 7.

What are the odds this is resolved for the final release?
