Hi

I'm using Asus 36sg with Nvidia Geforce 610M Graphics card and i have installed Windows 8 Pro X64. When i try to install or even download the driver 306.95 (latest release), it starts complaining that file is corrupt or invalid. Even when i try to install other programs like Eset Nod 32, dropbox, virtualbox, it also complains about corrupt CAB files or corrut or invalid files. Currently I'v managed to install AVG antivirus.

Dont know what to do, i re-installed Windows 2 times now and the problem seems only to get worse.

Help?

THANX

Ok, the driver version is 306.97(not 306.95) and i also tried version 306.23 and i get the same result.

It says "7-zip: Data Error". This is happenning in the beginning when its supposed to save or extract i think to another folder. I tried to extract the file myself but then get the message that over 50 files are corrupted. I dont know what the message exactly means but worth mentioning is that im using winrar x64 and not 7-zip. I'v used 7-zip before i reinstalled windows but got the same error even then.

Weird behavior you are having, did you try and disable your anti-virus, UAC..or any soft you may have in your machine? I too haveone lappy with Nvidia and it took the beta , the 306.23, the 306.97 wihtout a prob. With Avast on and all.

Hi

I disabled avast, windows smartscreen and UAC but it still doesnt work. I cant get any of those versions you mentioned to work. When i extract thr file and get the corrupt files message, i still try to run the setup file as admin but get the error message:
"No Parameter".....

wait a minute, you say you extract the files? u mean manually , you run extract with winrar or such. If it is the case, it doesn't work that way. All you gotta do is run the set up, let it do extraction on its own.

No, i tried extraction as a second hand option because running the setup directly doesnt work and is giving me the error message i posted earlier.

Thnx

What specifications do you mean? You mean like: Intel core i5, RAM 6GB HDD 500GB, Graphics card U36SG Nvidia, Windows 8 Pro.

I'v tried with Chrome, IE and Firefox.

Check under device manager (WIN+X) uninstall nvidia driver (if you have like beta installed ), reboot and give it another go.

Ok, after the reboot i noticed in device manager that that Windows couldn't even recognize the graphic card, it was displayed
microsoft basic graphics display. I couldnt neither update the driver from within device manager or install any driver at all.
But after some time windows update installed a driver from NVIDIA by itself and first after that i could download the latest NVIDIA
driver, unpack it and install it.......strange. But now it works!!!

THNX for the time and help with this issue :)
