Metro Start Menu Applications for All Users

I work at a university with computer labs. I am wanting to deploy Windows 8 in my labs. The problem is that it isn't familiar to the average person. I would like to place common tiles on the Metro Start for all users. This is a domain environment. It is simple to place these apps on the desktop for all users, but that does not serve the purpose; being that most users probably won't even figure out how to navigate to the desktop. I have already found out how to place these apps for all users on the "All Apps" page, but not the Start page.

Thank You

To place the apps on the Start Screen just Right click on the app that's on the All Apps and then Click on the Pin to start screen. That's all you have to do.

Also you can create a task bar app to click and take you directly to the Start Screen..works fine.

Oh BTW there is a way to create a short cut from the desktop to the All Apps Screen.
1. Right click on the desktop and select NEW.. then Shortcut
2. Enter the following:
%windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{2559a1f8-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0}

Then press Next... give it a title and finish. By double clicking on it you'll jump right to the All App screen.. How cool is that??:D

Maybe you guys don't clearly understand what I'm asking. You know how you can go to, C:\users\default\desktop, and place a shortcut in that folder and it will create that shortcut for every new user profile that logs in? That is what I want to do for the start page. Maybe that will clear things up.

Thanks!

Use this folder (or sub folder) for your shortcuts instead of "C:\users\default\desktop" should do the job:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
