Hi All,

I am not sure if this a theme issue, but as the attached screenshot (windows 8 theme.png), the borders around all my windows look 'classic'.

The second screenshot is what I expected the windows to look like (win8_ribbon_021.jpg).

Is this normal of am I missing something?

Thanks.

No, that's how it is in Windows 8. Microsoft cut out Aero as they feel it looks dated compared to the rest of Windows 8, so no gradients, glassiness, or what have you. It's simply a window. I don't know if it's just me, but wow, the Aero style does look a little weird now...

There's a little applet tool that I use that makes the window color to white, so it makes everything look cleaner, to me at least. :D

That second screenshot is actually from an alpha build from almost two years ago...

Have a look here. Export your reg before fiddling. I did too much at one time and made a mess, but I had the backup handy!

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
The whole section (Control Panel) is interesting.
