display settings: icon font size etc.

As someone with bad eyesight, I sometimes find it easier to go into the Personalize menus in previous Windows versions, and change the "icon" font size to 12/13 and make it bold, from the default which I believe is 8. However as I'm sure many know by now Win8 has removed such options. Is there any way I can fix this?

    Hello lilsting,

Yes. The settings for this have been moved to the DPI screen now in Windows 8. The tutorial below can help show you more on how to.

Advanced Appearance Settings - Change Text Size for Items in Windows 8

    Hope this helps.

WOW... i've never noticed that that was a drop-down-menu before. That will help a lot. It actually looks less messy than the old menu screen which was buried in color advanced settings too.

As an aside though, despite my first boot of Enterprise N having the screen resolution drop-down greyed-out, and the 'Larger' size of all items not be in the list, I later restarted the coputer and I could select different screen resolutions and 'Larger' had magically appeared as an option. Very strange.

That is odd. Perhaps some setting that didn't take affect until after a restart.
