Small issue with the personalization window (Windows 8.1)

Hi. I came here to ask some serious help about modifying some very specific things of my Windows 8.1's appearance.

First of all, I guess I should specify that I'm using a custom theme right now, it's this one, SimplexDesignsART's Windows Vista theme for Windows 8.1. I'm specifically using the Basic (Squared) version.

The thing is that at some point before using it, I messed around a bit with the values at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Colors.
So now I don't know if these small issues I'm having and that I want to fix are my fault or the theme's.
Judging by how everything works fine with the default theme, I guess it's the custom theme's though.
I'll drop a message on its DeviantArt post but I'd also like to ask for help about it over here.

To the point:
1) The letters in some parts of the OS like the personalization window are in white color.
Here's a comparison (Left: Windows 8.1's Theme, Right: Vista Basic Squared).

2) The font of some buttons like Mozilla Firefox's Clear recent history's Clear Now also have a white colored font.
Here's a comparison (Left: Windows 8.1's Theme, Right: Vista Basic Squared).
Here's a .GIF about its strange behavior.

Is there any way to fix them?
Here's a picture of my Control Panel\Colors entry and here's a picture of my Control Panel\Desktop\Colors entry.

I hope this post doesn't look/feel too bloated, but I wanted to explain myself as best as I could.
Thanks in advance for reading, everyone. Greetings from Uruguay :)

EDIT: I just checked because I suddenly remembered something and I had already dropped a message to him at some point of the past year. However, that issue isn't this one as I have the caption fonts disabled now.

EDIT2: Also yes, I just checked and re-enabling the caption texts doesn't solve it.
The options of the personalization window are still in white.

Hello Lunos. Your post was well done. ... never used "SimplexDesignsART's" themes

They seem to be very popular. ... have tried to uninstall and reinstall theme ?

... only offer suggestions that are GUI / software related ...
Any way to start over ? (clean install OS) Many would reject this -
I often do OS clean installs that take 10 minutes from unallocated space to completion.

Depends on how many programs you have installed - some folks have dozens if not 50 !
So that might not work. Depends on how heavily invested you are with your current installation.

I use WindowBlinds. To set up textures / backgrounds / transparency with Explorer - blinds does a good job.

There are literally over 1000 themes available.
Best Wishes
Good Luck

1) Reinstalling a theme doesn't change anything. If it didn't downloaded properly, it wouldn't even work.

2) Nope, I cannot jump to another OS nor reinstall the one I'm in. Not only I'm limited to a laptop but there's plenty of other reasons not to do so.

3) I haven't used WindowBlinds in years, literally since the XP Days and I'm pretty sure almost no one uses it nowadays.

Thank you for trying to help though, I appreciate it :)

ON: Apparently, what's causing the issue is a slight modification that I have done to the theme's shellstyle.dll
I was basically replacing the one that comes with the theme by default with my own personalized version of it, in which I have hidden these bars.

So yeah, it looks like I'll have to change the theme's shellstyle.dll somehow in order to successfully hide that green bar without ruining the Personalization's window fonts. I honestly don't know how to do that though, does anyone have a clue?
I mean, the method I used to hide it was the one explained right here, but again, that one ruins the Personalization window's text :(
