How to arrange tiles in the new full screen Start Menu?

When I try to arrange the tiles pinned in the new full screen Start Menu, they all slide next to each other in columns of 2.

But I can't figure out how to set the tiles anywhere I want. Or set the column spacers. Everything just slides to the top left.

Like say I have 20 tiles, and I wanted to arrange them like this:

The Start Screen doesn't really allow for negative space like that.

Here's mine. It really just takes a bit of finagle, you click and drag and work it. If you have a tile, you can build a new column by going in between the tiles, in you case it might need to be the end of the Start Screen, and a clear white bar appears that shows the new column.

I was able to make groups. But each group only has 2 columns. I couldn't figure out how to make extra columns in the group. Like in your image above the first group on the left has 6 columns.

No. It's turned off. I'll upload the image. Everything is in 2 columns:

Ah, ok. I see what you mean now.

By default, a single column is the width of 1 large app tile, or 2 small app tiles beside each other. The 2 small app tiles is basically the same as 1 large app tile. It will not carry over to a 2nd column in a group until it has filled the 1st column in a group from top to bottom vertically.

OK I see. So a column would have to fill up with 12 small tiles in sets of 2, and the next tile will be in the next column.

OK kewl. I guess 6 rows is fine. Is there a way to make the icon picture fill up the tile? Like all my tiles have the picture on the bottom left of the tile.

Is there a way to make the icon fill up the tile and the text smaller?

Like that:
