Windows 8.1 Lockscreen & Slideshow:How add non-C: folders?

Hi all,

This is my first post here so hopefully this I'm doing this correctly. Thanks in advance for your help also.

I have windows 8.1 on my PC and on my Intel NUC - I'm an avid photographer so I have many images, this means I can't store them all on SSD C: in these machines; both machines have a second internal drive.

My problem is that Windows Lockscreen and Slideshow doesn't appear to allow free navigation to select ANY folder to use, only a few specific C: folders (Desktop, Pictures, Documents) and not my D://Media/Pictures. I cannot find a way to navigate through the folder selection interface to a 'My Computer' or to another drive, I have tried the network option thinking that I could enter D:// but to no avail. I have spent a while on this and googled for answers as well as searched this forum but can't find any reference to this problem. So, maybe I'm missing something really silly or nobody else keeps their images off the C:?

I considered copying the images to my SSD C: however being a SSD it's not large so there is not enough room on it and I also want to keep my current "automated folder population process" going (they're sync'd via dropbox to my D drive).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!!
