Is it possible to remove the Search icon next to user pic?

Alright, so I've learned how to remove some Windows 8 features that I don't like or want, such as the power button next to the user profile pic, but is there a way to remove the search button next to the user profile icon?

Solved Remove the Homegroup Icon in Network & Sharing
I finally found a "problem" with the Windows 8 desktop. Its a problem in Windows 7 too but I had never started a Homegroup. The darn icon won't move and you can't delete it. There is a Windows 7 fix for the problem at HomeGroup Desktop Icon - Add or Remove - Windows 7 Forums and it works with...
Don't get me wrong ... we all have our small nuisances with Windows 8, but overall I really like it's potential. I really only use a few programs on my computer and to have those easily accessible and organized (the key thing here) would be nice. There are some weird quirks that don't make sense...
