    I cannot apply visual styles

I've patched using UltraUXThemePatcher and UXStyle, and it won't let me apply custom visual styles. It doesn't appear properly.

What are you trying to achieve with those third party programs?

Well I want to install this theme on my Windows 8.1 computer.

To do so, I must first patch some system files as Windows doesn't allow custom themes by default. You can use UltraUXThemePatcher or UXStyle to do this.

Then you put the theme into c:\windows\resources\themes and launch it via double clicking the theme file or launching it from Personalise.

However it doesn't work for me.

Oh you're using both UltraUX & UXStyle! you only need one. Turn off/uninstall the UltraUX. Then reboot.

I uninstalled both then restarted, then installed one (UXTheme), then restarted, and it still doesn't work.

Are the correct files in resources? Shell, Wall, and Visual Style .theme files? Shell, Wall and Visual Styles should or are usually left together in a single folder and the .theme file is alone outside , and some time there are Normal version and another version(for example No Detail Pane) only one can be used, leave the other in you theming folder.

They're left together in their single folder like this.

Hello everyone, About a month ago I started to look for a good visual style on my laptop. And I chose Base 8.1. So I searched up a tutorial and patched my system files using uxstyle. It came out very nice but 2 days ago I noticed a problem. The navigation buttons have not changed! I mean the...
Everytime I apply a themepack, t either doesn't fully apply, I get some kind of weird glitch, or a combination of both such as this: 58090 I'm wondering if there's something I'm doing wrong. I follow the directions for installation to a T, have the uxthemepatcher thing applied and have...
Just got a new monitor and cant seem to get it calibrated to match the original external display that I set up last year.
