Solved Can i disable minimize windows on taskbar thumbnail hover

Sorry for the barely understandable title, I couldn't fit my entire query within the character limit.

Basically what I want is to disable the feature, that minimizes/hides all other windows when I hover over a taskbar thumbnail. It's extremely annoying when I hold meetings and presentations, that my desktop shows all the time, while I am switching windows by selecting a taskbar thumbnail, it's just unprofessional.

Alt+Tab has the same annoying effect, so that's no solution either. If the only way to make Windows stop with this is to disable previewing windows alltogether when hovering over a thumbnail, that's fine by me, the most important thing is, that it should not touch the other windows.

I hope there is a solution for this. Thanks in advance!

You can disable the preview, but you will still get an application name and some details.

I want my thumbnails, how else would I identify my windows?

What I don't want is Windows switching to the window I have my mouse hovered on, and dropping every other window. I don't want to have any window switching (i.e. previewing the window) prior to actually clicking on the window's corresponding thumbnail.

That was my first guess too, but it's already turned off.

Have you tried all options, especially Option Three, which should disable it completely.

Curious. Would have never expected that doing what appears to be the same thing, just somewhere else would be any different. :)

I already had aero peek disabled at the taskbar months ago, but disabling it now in visual effects as well resulted in the exact same thing I was looking for!

Thank you!
