    How to Change folders background without any software?


    I would like to change my folder background. I can see many softwares for that but i woeld like to do it manualy. So can anyone suggest a solution for this please.

    Hi shihasck, welcome to Windows EightForums!

    One of the quickest and easiest ways to change, at least, the color is to switch to a High Contrast Theme: Left Shift + Left Alt + PrintScreen then go to Personalization/Color and set desired colors.

    Makes for a Windows 95ish look but..., it's one avenue.

    Maybe download a bunch of colored folders as .ico & use them.

    Otherwise I really think you will need a free program to do it.

    If you like, you could change the folder preview picture to what you like in Windows the same way as in the tutorial below.

    There are free ones but I use Microangelo on Display.
