Hello All,
Yesterday I was experimenting with some desktop customization software to change themes on my Windows 8.1 Pro computer.
One of the programs I installed, SkinPacks, crashed after installing a theme and seems to have done some damage to my Windows look and feel. I immediately uninstalled SkinPacks and rebooted but I am still seeing one issue.
The issue is with my Windows title bar text. The text is no longer there and has been replaced with just dashed lines. Here is a screenshot:
I tried changing my Windows theme several times using the "Personalize" option but nothing seemed to restore the title bar text.
I thought that I might be able to fix the problem by changing the font size using Display in Control Panel. When I opened Display I noticed something curious. In the "Change only the text size" section the drop-down menu for "Title bars" that sets the font size is empty. Normally there would be numbers there (e.g. 9, 10, 12, 14...) but there is nothing. Here is a screenshot:
I also tried turning Bold on and off but it had no effect.
Does anyone know how I can restore my Windows theme/look and feel back to it's original state or how to undo the changes that SkinPacks has made?
Thank you.
Jan
