Hi Brink and topgundcp, I have tried out all that you suggested but nothing will remove Video from the Library.
I can have it so it does not show in the navigation pane but it still shows up in the right hand pane.
Downloading the link and removing Video has not removed it from the Library but it has removed it from This PC.

    Thanks

    Hi Jan,
Sometimes we overlook the simple . What we've shown you so far is to hide the Videos folder under This Computer.
To hide the Videos under Libraries, all you need to do is right click on Videos folder->Properties then uncheck "Shown in Navigation Pane"

Hi topgundcp, Thanks for trying to help me with this...
What you describe in this post and your previous one is what I have been doing and Video has been removed from This PC and hidden from the Libraries navigation pane but it still remains in the right hand pane of Libraries.
Prior to this recently fresh installation of Windows 8/8.1 all I had to do was delete Video in the library and it would disappear from both the navigation pane and the right hand pane and stay that way...though I must admit it did come back occasionally and I would delete it again.
Right clicking on the Video icon in the right hand pane and going to properties and selecting 'Remove' does nothing except remove the entry from the Library location box.

    Regards

Hi Shawn, Thanks for sticking with this...
I think perhaps that I did not make myself very clear when I made my original post. I only asked for help in removing Video from the Libraries navigation pane. I did this because from past experience of removing Video from the Libraries navigation pane it has always also removed it from the right hand pane at the same time. This new installation of Windows 8/8.1 is not doing that.

What I want is to remove Video from my the navigation pane and the right hand pane and anywhere else it appears...I don't use it and never have done and I find it very annoying that I can't delete it or at least hide it away.

Thanks for your help and sorry if I did not make it clear what I wanted.

Doc1.docThis is a screen shot of my setup taken on the 9th August on my previous Windows 8/8.1 installation. You can see that Video has been removed from both the Libraries navigation pane and also the right hand pane....this is what I want to achieve in my current installation of Windows.

OK, money and storeroom are probably something that you installed as add-ons. To really get rid of Videos folder, we'll need to do 3 more steps.
    1. From left pane, right click on videos->Properties->uncheck "Show in navigation pane"
    2. Click on Videos, Remove button will be activated, click Remove, Apply
    3. Click on Libraries, On the RHS, right click on Videos->Delete

    Hope this help !!!

    1. Delete the Videos Folder under C:\Users\YourUserName

Hi topgundcp, I have done that but as mentioned in my post #8 Video re-appears as soon as it is deleted and restores it back in the navigation pane also. This never happened in my previous Windows installation.
