Windows 8 Themes

Yes, I just installed a Windows 7 theme with no problem. The MS site tells you that these themes will only work for certain editions of Win 7, but they appear to work fine on the Win 8 Preview edition.

Are you referring to standard Windows 7 themes or unsigned Visual Styles 7 The former should install in the same way they did under Windows 7. For the latter, you'll need a patch. It's still early days, but there are already a few of these around. However, there aren't many Windows 8 specific themes available, as yet, and Windows 7 themes may or may not work.

The patch is for unsigned themes, but don't expect all of the Windows 7 unsigned themes to work correctly or even at all.
