This is absolutely the first start screen that is actually decent to look at. Congratulations, it's too bad that this isn't the sort of interface that was provided by MS in the first place.

Ummm.....this basically was provided by Microsoft. It takes user input and third party to deliver what they personally want. I think this is cool, but I wouldn't use it as it reminds me of mac os and such.

Well, ummmm.....except with a lot of work on the end users part and 3rd party tools that allow the user to customize, Microsoft didn't provide anything to allow this...although a lot of people wish they would have.

It all boils down to personal preference. I can see why it reminds you of a Mac, but it sure looks a lot better to me than the AOL inspired Windows 8 default.

This amount of work on the Start Screen is the same as skinning Windows into a different theme. Not many people do that and that's not going to become an easy feature in Windows. And that isn't the default of Windows 8, if this was February 2012, yeah it would be.

And that to me just looks like boring drab crap. People used to make fun of XP and call it the Fisher Price theme, but I think that screenshot of Windows 8 is just downright FUGLY.
