Solved Desktop Icon Locations

Every time I restart WIN8 Customer Preview my custom desktop icon arrangement disappears, all icons end up in column at the left edge of the screen, also icon size is reset to medium. Is there a way to lock my desktop icon configuration so it is not lost during reboot?

First arrange your icons the way you want them, them right click on an empty spot on your desktop to open the context menu. Choose "refresh". That should do it.

Thanks, worked just fine. Previous versions of Windows automatically saved icon positions on restart/shutdown. Maybe another part of Microsoft's effort to kill the desktop.
