Solved Restore Start Menu Orb

Stardock are also planning on releasing there utility soon: Stardock Corporation - Software - Start8

Put your email address down to be notified.

I know they are working on improving it but I find with the ViStart there is no right-click functionality, plus, as it was designed originally for use with XP, has obsolete programs displayed in the default menu when the orb is clicked. So at the moment it's only a stopgap measure really. The StarDock one looks to be promising and should be fully functional.

By the way, that article is erroneous. ViStart doesn't disable Metro UI, simply adds a Start Orb and partial menu the desktop App.

Using non-RAID on purpose as I find it too fussy and temperamental.
I have tried ViStart. Did not like it and uninstalled it. The Metro start is waaay better.

If you have a normal desktop PC, not mobile phone, can you figure yourself with your arm all time stretched to reach the monitor screen? Isn't it crazy? This menu cannot be meant for desktops. For the former it is not even enough intuitive- I read somewhere (can't remember where, because I read too much on this subject) that M$ conceived this hand held menu for PCs without option to choose from to promote their phones, which are selling far behind well known top brands. Will that be it? Who knows? The only thing we can be sure is that this start menu is not appropriate for any desktop, no matter how beautiful it may look, or the easiest to use and most practical for portables. Unless you wish to worn out your shoulder joints.
