Program to edit Win 8.1 context menus?

Is there a program to modify *all* context menu entries in Windows 8.1 x64?

I've downloaded a few apps but none of them offer the ability to remove context menu entries like "preview", "rotate left/right", "print", etc.

I've manually removed some context menu entries such as Skydrive, but the process is very slow via registry editor, and if i understand correctly it needs to be manually done for ALL file types, which means repeating steps for jpg, jpeg, bmp, png, gif, etc.

Here is an example of what i mean -- When i right click JPG i get this massive menu. I want to remove:

Preview, Set as desktop background, Print, Preview (why is it listed TWICE?), rotate right, rotate left, share with, send to.

Is there any easy way to do this for all file types?

Thanks.

I don't think you'll find one to remove those as they ar default windows ones ,most of what you have in yours were put there by 3rd party programs you have installed .,but I could be wrong , and the ones In the list poster above do little of what you want to do, be careful ,as one I looked at has no backup ,so if you remove something the program has no option to put it back, if you use any tools to change windows features be sure to backup register /or create restore points before make changes

@caperjack: You never offered any direct solution other than to downplay my suggestion. At least my suggestion gives the OP a place to start for more research; however, yours just takes the OP to a dead-end street. With that said, it seems like vagueness and criticism are your best forte.

That is not the case at all. In fact, you seem to be the one following me around and you usually have something negative to say about everything I suggest. So, I started to take a look at some of your responses and I just responded accordingly. IMHO, every one of my responses are not perfect but I never downplay anyone else's recommendation. In fact, I use a more subtle approach like "In addition to "xxxx's" suggestion, you might also consider trying my suggestion..." It's called forum etiquette. Moreover, I don't see any other post of yours where you have disputed anyone else's recommendation other than mine. Now, I apologize if you feel that way but I have feelings too.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate your help, however none of the mentioned tools seem to do the trick :(

1. ShellExView doesn't seem to offer the ability to remove baked-in context menu entries such as Windows Photo Viewers "preview" and "rotate" entries.

2. Link seems to be dead unfortunately. Can't find any reliable mirrors.

3. Tried this app and suffers from a lot of errors -- Also doesn't have the ability to remove the entries i wish to remove (see point #1).

4. NOD32 has flagged FileMenu Tools as containing adware. After some Googling i've found other people complaining about adware being forcefully installed, even with the portable version of the program.

"Windows 8 Manager" can edit context menus as well as many other aspects of Windows. It costs $30 but you can try it for a month for free. It works well for me and they update it about monthly. I am not associated with this company, except that I helped make their boat payments by buying their product.

Nice direct recommendations by davehc and mikeytg.

@Ramzy: Again, my suggestion was just intended to be a starting point for your research. Nothing more; nothing less. However, when I do come across a post that I consider interesting enough to provide a detailed response, I usually spend a great deal more time in providing specific recommendations. Hence forth, I'll stick with those posts that I find interesting enough to respond in detail. Good luck with your issue and let us know how you make out with the other recommendations.

@caperjack: Thank you kindly.

@caperjack: I hope we are past this issue between us; however, I must say that I found your response to my initial suggestion "quite unusual" for your posting style; in that, it seems like you went out and tried every one of those programs yourself. Now, since most responders will not take that much time to evaluate a single-line response from someone else, I could only assume you had some ulterior motive for doing so. In summary, it just seemed so strange and far removed from the way you normally respond to others in general. Anyway, thank you kindly.

Best regards,

I just figured out how to get rid of "Rotate right", "Rotate left" & the "Preview" which also has to get disabled for images.

1) Download ShellExView (from nirsoft.net).
2) Scroll down to the Extension Name: Windows Photo Viewer Image Verbs (make sure you select the "Image" option, since there's another one for Video).
3) Right click and Disable Selected Item. Say Yes.
4) Close the program.
5) You must restart the computer to be able to see that these 3 context menus are gone. (If you don't restart the computer, they will stay there when you right click on an image file... until you restart!)
