    1. Please locate Windows' bubbles.scr:

    C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-bubbles_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.16384_none_031e0ac2e58b36bb\Bubbles.scr

and send it to the desktop as a shortcut. (Delete old shortcut) Test the new shortcut. Does it work?

    2. At C:\ rename your script Bubbles.vbs

    3. Check the content of your C:\Bubbles.vbs Does it look just like this, only user your name is there, not mine?

    Set OWS = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
    OWS.Run "C:\Users\Chums.Acerberry\Desktop\Bubbles.lnk"

    4. Next, in your Task Manager, highlight your bubbles task, and on the lower right sidebar, select properties.

    5. When the properties window pops up, select the Actions tab.

    5. At the Actions window, highlight Start A Program and click Edit...

    6. In the Add arguments (optional): box, be sure you have the path to C:\Bubbles.vbs enclosed in quotes, like this: "C:Bubbles.vbs" Leave the Start in (optional): box blank. Your Program/script: box should have WScript.exe without quotes.
    7. Click OK to save and close the Actions tab.

    8. Next, click on the Triggers tab. It should say On Idle. Highlight that and click Edit...

    9. Make sure on the Advanced settings portion all boxes are unchecked. Then put a check in Enabled.

    10. Click OK to save and OK to close the Properties box.

    11. Highlight your Bubbles task again and hit Run in the lower right sidebar to test.

    12. If the bubbles float and you are satisfied, shake the mouse and hit End in the lower right sidebar. Say yes to End all instances of the task, and get out of Task Manager.

Let me know if this works for you.

    Sonya

Hope this helps, keep me posted.

    Typo in step 6 - "C:Bubbles.vbs" . Should be "C:\Bubbles.vbs"

    Hi Gabe,

Thanks for your correction in step 6. I've corrected it 10/04/2014.
From what I see, your user name should show as G Turbo. But to be sure, navigate to C:\Users, and look for your profile name. Is G Turbo there? It's important to get that exactly right as shown, or the script can't "find" your desktop.

Also, I would stay with Bubbles.lnk. Don't use a copy of Bubbles.scr on the desktop. Delete that and use only the shortcut. Edit your Bubbles.vbs file to show Bubbles.lnk.

Your argument in Task Manager looks correct. Be sure to do steps 8. and 9. too. Does it test run okay?
If these things don't work, let's try something else. Open Control Panel, Windows Firewall, Allow an app or feature through Windows firewall, hit change settings, scroll down and hit Allow another app... button, Browse to C:\Bubbles.vbs and hit Add.

I think the 15R inspiron username is correct. Because I don't see the Bubbles.lnk file in C:\Users\G TURBO folder.

I have followed steps 8 and 9 correctly. But it doesn't test run succesfully. The same error pops up. The Windows firewall doesn't support .vbs files, I presume because I can't find the Bubbles.vbs file while browsing for it.

You're right, 15R Inspiron is the user name.
    Let's try something else.

Open Task Manager, Task Manager Library, Highlight Bubbles task, and click on Properties.
At the General tab, at Security Options, When running the task, use the following user account, hit the Change User or Group.
A pop up window appears. Hit the Advanced button, lower left.
Another window. Hit the Find Now button to your right.
Scroll down through the names, and highlight 15R Inspiron.
    Hit OK.

You should now see 1R Inspiron as the user group in the Security field.
    Hit OK to save.
Now test. Remember to End all instances of the test afterward.

    Hope that'll do.

There may be nothing wrong with your PC and G Turbo profile at all.

It just occurred to me that if you are in Metro mode, with all its busy-ness and active real-time apps, of course, it's not a desktop. It's working more like a page. So, that may be the reason you don't see G Turbo profile with a Desktop folder. You might consider switching from the Metro mode to the classic desktop style and see what happens.

So once you have switched to classic desktop, take a look in the C:\Users file and see if G Turbo has a Desktop folder now.
If it does, change the reference in your .vbs file to your G Turbo profile. Also choose G Turbo as the user at the Bubbles task at the General tab.

    * * Thanks for pointing out that Windows Firewall doesn't recognize .vbs scripts. I had forgotten that. * *

Take it one step at a time, check everything from start to finish, then test and end all instances. You just may have success now.

    **You're welcome**
I have done it. I actually used the original path of the Bubbles.scr file in C:\ i.e C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-bubbles_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.16384_none_031e0ac2e58b36bb\Bubbles.scr , in the vbs script and it worked. My only gripe is that the screensaver takes a tad too long to start(~4 mins).
