    Character for one tenth >Alt+2152

I am trying to get the alt character for one tenth to work.

I installed 3 different fonts that are supposed to support it.

When I press Alt+2152 on the numbers pad I get "h".

    Any ideas ?

Example of one of the fonts:

I get an h even though the font is supposed to support one tenth.

I copied this from a Google search:

So I know it can be done.

    I don't think it's possible to type ⅒ as a fraction.

Are you just trying to get a tenth symbol, or do you want it for a particular font? I'm not sure whether there's a better way, but in Word or WordPad you can press Alt+X after the hexadecimal Unicode.

I just want to be able to type it on demand in a post or Notepad or anywhere.

    I have Open Office.

I just tried it for one tenth symbol.
    It worked.

I guess if I want to write something, I can write it in Open Office as a text document & copy & paste it where ever.

    Not quite solved though...

    Hey friend,

See if this will help you figure it out for your specific needs. FYI, I just tried it for use in this forum and the html string works as described here:

Unicode Character 'VULGAR FRACTION ONE TENTH' (U+2152)

Switched the forum editor to source mode and entered this string:

Switched back to normal editor mode and bingo!

    Cheers friend!
