We are talking about 2 different Login screens.

Except when you're in that screen, when you log back in, isn't there another screen that asks your password after that screen?
But like in that video, where you see it says "Signing out" with spinning dots on a plain background, that's what I was trying to change

Yes, a password page comes next.

So far we can't change anything but a solid color on the 'Logon' screen.
At least MS lets us us replace that hideous wheel of colors on 8.1 (they let us change the Seattle Needle on 8 too)

Do you reckon there might be like a hack (maybe modifying Windows resource files) to allow us to add a proper picture to the login screen?

I used Stardock LogonStudio on Windows 7. It might work for 8.

It just changes the image and then you can uninstall the application if you want.

Didn't work for Windows 8.1, any other suggestions?

Please read the title before you post, it clearly states "NOT lock screen"

Is there any way or is it impossible? I refuse to believe that it is not possible to do this.

Unfortunately, it is true. There might be a way to do it but, no known method is out there.
