Hi,
I would like to customize my welcome screen - the one with my account picture, username and the text "Welcome". Ideally I would like to bypass it, I don't want to see the screen at all. I only have one user which is automatically logged on and that will not change. Alternatively a completely black screen for those few seconds that the welcome screen shows would be just as good. The third option is to set the user account picture transparent, remove the username and replace the "Welcome" text with something like "Initializing..."
Can any of this be done by any third party application or preferrably by modifying some dll's? From my googling it appears authui.dll/mui, twinui.dll/mui and/or winlogon.exe/mui are the files used for this screen? But I can't figure out how I need to modify them?
