    'hide file names option' removed?

[Tip] Add Secret ?Hide File Names? Option in ?View? Menu in Windows Vista and 7 - AskVG

I followed this guide but the option is not there. I was wondering if it works for any of you because I'm thinking Microsoft removed this feature on W8.

    Hello Desperate,

Yes, it still works in Windows 8 and 8.1 as well. The tutorial below can help show you more on how to.

Glad to hear it's still there, but for some reason It's not working for me.

I tried view - right click many folders inside this one and still no luck.

This is the only folder in which I can attempt to do it, by the way. All other folders (inside this one) don't have the customization tab, only general, sharing and security.

In libraries, this will only work in the Pictures and Videos library.

To make this work in your Documents folder, you would need to view it in your actual "C:\Users\(user-name)\Documents" folder instead of from the Documents library.
