Hi All,
I'm using my ASUS T100TA Transformer Book to type this message, it's got a 10.1" screen on it, as I'm getting older now..my vision isn't what it used to be. I've already changed the size of the icon's on the taskbar, so I could see them better..is there any way to make the notification area icon's larger as well ? I already have the free Classic Shell software installed on my tablet, but I didn't see any option in that software to change the notification area icon size.
Thanks,
David

There may be a way, but why not drag a shortcut from the control panel to the desktop

Hi davehc,
Thanks so much for your reply...I'm hoping that someone here in the forum's has the same issue..and a solution on how to correct it. By the way..Happy New Year !! I'm envious...I've always wanted to visit that part of the world, but now realize I'll probably never get to.

Well, Brink may have a tutorial somewhere. Hang around and wait until he pops by.

P-s. Don't be too envious its no big deal. Most expensive country in the world to live in, and I am on minimum income as a pensioner! Maybe I speak as a prejudiced Englishman, but it is one huge farm with roads in between - lol.

Well, the thread is old, but I'm looking for the same thing, and see no solution. Anyone?

Some of the hardware might seem odd (PSU, SSD), but I'm not wasting money on replacing perfectly functional hardware only because a newer version is out. Nor am I willing to pay extortion money for replacements or intended upgrades (GPU, RAM), especially if that "upgrade" has a hardware design flaw (CPU).
I don't believe this can be controlled directly. The notification area icons are the so called "small" icons whose size is determined in display properties. Open "Personalization" in control panel and select "Display is the lower left of the window. The option here will control the size of just about everything. I don't believe there is any other way.

Well, if there is no way to change the notification icon sizes specifically, I'm tempted to address the issue with a 3rd party tool to replace the taskbar entirely, with something that offers actual customization options, and doesn't waste 40 pixels of vertical space on a single row of 16 pixel icons. We used to have in-depth customization options, now everything "advanced" comes down to registry hacks or sorry can't do.

Sorry for the rant, but I've just made the switch recently from ungrouped small buttons (the classic long ones with the window's header text) to grouped large buttons, and I'm just shaking my head what a waste of screen real estate the notification area is. Even if you do not change the size, it's not like you couldn't fit two rows of the default size icons there.

Anyway, thanks for your response, I appreciate it!
