It's still a no go. You still need to prove yourself.

I don't understand it. Looks to me you modified it ok. In the pic properties > details tab > it's a PNG file 12KBs big at 100 X 100 pixels with bit depth of 32. Does bit depth have anything to do with it?

Hmmm, maybe how tinypic does it. I applied it from my desktop and worked for me. BRB.

Thanks so much, Bill! You are talented! 500 Internet points for you!

Man, I'm styling now, eh?!! I call it my Glitter Rock Avatar.

I suspect you converted it to a GIF instead of PNG? The only other animated pic/avatar I have is a GIF.

It was a gif to begin with. The forum no doubt had to resize the original. Tinypic seems to have changed it to a png. I resized it using an online tool I found. The output was an animated gif. I was able to find that host that didn't alter the image, and voila! Now you are glittery

    Great job, Bill!

Now all I need is a Disco ball and I'll be good to go.

    Great work Bill!
It's a pretty well done gif.

Tony, That's a nice glittery animation.
    Great color.

I was a little late on this post, the size is well-reduced for only 16kb.

Indexing colors + contrast are great but if you need a little more edge smoothness see this:

    Still one 100x100.
    Been using GIMP.
There's a white background added since transparency isn't really seen in the avatar because it already goes on white...
But it's a 20kb still under the max limit (my avatar is peaking at 48kb and was hard to reduce in size) but if you can afford the space, don't reduce the quality too much.

    Cheers!

Thank you so much for, Hapochi! Bill did a great job! Yes, it is a nice color. Like you stated when you changed yours a while back > It matches the color of the badges. I was always envious of and thought your avatar was one of the most ingenious and creative.

I appreciate the effort and the edges do look better, but I like more of the glittering in the original. How does "edging" it take that away? Also, is it possible to make the background transparent?

500 Internet points to you also BTW!

Love your humility, but we both learned something, right?

Prevent Log in screen user avatars from switching places

Windows Avatars?
Wouldn't that be a novel idea? Instead of the boring, and often WTF-worthy user pictures, how about W8 users get to create their own Windows Avatar akin to the ones found on the Xbox 360? The avatar could represent your profile on Windows, and could make little appearances in certain apps, like...
