    Background color playing up...

    Hi there everyone!

I've had this problem for AGES and it's really annoying me...
I'm changing my background colour by going to "settings>personalise" and it changes (to blue/purple in this example)...but it won't get rid of the red header, and the text above the apps is a weird pink colour that you can barely see.

Also, when I've shut down and log on, the background isn't the blue/purple colour I set it to...it goes to the same red colour as the heading of the settings (dark red). I have to click on "desktop" and then go back to the start screen to get it back to the blue colour. Any fixes for this? It's so annoying!

    Thanks!

Hello Antony, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You might see if using the tutorial below to force a specific background and accent color may work to sort this for you.

    Hope this helps,

That looks correct. Since that didn't help, go ahead and undo it.

Next, turn off syncing for all items under the Personalization settings section to see if that may be what is changing what you set.

    Hmm, stubborn thing.

Does changing the image allow to start changing the "background color" for the "Personalize" header?

I get this. So for example, I've changed the background to a solid purple colour, but it's STILL red...which kind of suggests there's a default colour to the red but God knows how that happened. Is that what you meant by change the picture?

Yeah, selecting any of the images there would have worked to test with.

It does appear that your solid background image's color is also the same color that it's stuck at for the header despite what you have the color set to.

Just as a test, do you have this issue while signed in to any other account?
