Add own folders to "this PC"

Hi.

C: is hidden from our users, and in win7/8 we created an library for a local folder on C: that users can use. But now in 8.1 with the changes in "this PC" it just looks awful with all entries under this pc, and favorites, and network, and library. i know that i can delete the special folders under this PC but i will still need to use this PC and Library for networks drive and our library for C:.
Is it somehow possible to make our library for C:\Local as an special folder under this PC so we dont need both this pc and library in the pane menu?

Regards

Looks like this little free utility might get the job done for you. I personally haven't tried it myself but Winaero makes some very nice free utilities:

WinAero: This PC Tweaker

Good luck and I hope this information has been helpful.

Note: the above was not intended to address moving the inherent Library folder but is intended to allow you to create a custom user folder under "This PC."

the app was kind of useful, i created the folder and then i exported the registry keys that was created, so i can deploy a .reg on all our computers. but there is one problem.
if i double click on the folder in This PC and then right click in the folder the shell for "New" is gone, so i cant create new folders etc.

anyone knows how to fix this? it feels like i can copy this shell from somewhere in the registry and apply to my new folder.. or?

Glad I could help. No time to address your second issue right now but that is fixable. If no answers, I'll get back to you when I can.

Ok, since This PC is primarily a navigation menu, I am not going to try and alter that structure. Anyway, here is one way it could work for you:

First, you would need to establish a "folder within a folder" arrangement. Once done, then you could link it via the utility like so:

Hopefully that could work for you; however, if not, I wish you all the best in finding an appropriate solution.
