For people playing around and wanting cascading (i.e sub menus) menus to items they've customized such as their own toolbar or programs added with WIN+X menu editor then this link helps.
It's an oldie from Windows 7 but it still works on Windows 8/ 8.1 --- -- Like all things though BACKUP before you start so you can restore easily if you hose it up -- and I suggest testing on a VM too.
