I think what the man is trying to say is, if you notice in his first post the screen cap has a category that says "Hard Disk Drives(4)"
then right below it has a category that says "Devices with Removable Storage (2)" .

In his second screen cap in his second post he is showing you a screen cap of his machine and it is not like the first one he posted and he would like to have his system look like the one in the first screen cap in the first post.

Honestly, I would like to know how to do it also, the advice that you gave him does not work and I have been trying to figure out how to do it to no avail as my system looks just like his in his second post.

This is a change introduced in windows 8.1, all drives are in the same group. On windows 8, it works as countmike said. There's a solution, but it won't be exactly the same :

Right click > Group By > More > Check File System > OK
Then Right Click again > Group By > Select File System

It will separate NTFS drives (hard disk/ssd) from your removable storage.

Yes it does but not to the original posts standards, it takes the removable drive(s) and sticks it in with your folders which IMO is kind of idiotic, whoever came up with the idea of putting your library folders in This PC deserves a kick in the b@lls.

I found that the link I posted above works EXACTLY as wanted as per the screen cap in the first post and will also remove the folders from This PC also.
