Uac ( hell :) with some files while it's disabled..

So I disabled uac for various reasons, like even not blocking erunt from accessing reg files & saving files .. .
    & now I have a magic message when I open unregistered files, example "whatever.jpg" .. .

    (full file address)
This application can't be activated when UAC is disabled.

    Expected behaviour:

Choose default program "popup" .. .

Go to conrtol panel and set default programs to the desktop versions, e.g. photoviewer. Don't bother with the "app" things.

thanks siwi, but i can do better .. . using the open with option when I face that error .. .

but what i'd like is like in previous windows versions .. .

Auto "open with" window to popup
Nothing if I try to open an unregistered file .. .

Hi, I hope that someone can help me with this. I am new to posting. I have a custom built desktop and it has recently developed a habit of random BSOD messages. I have tried all advice from Microsoft's forums: from memory checking with memtest86 to windows' memory check app included. I have...
Mazdem's BSOD hell in BSOD Crashes and Debugging
First time running a raid setup and one of my drives went straight to hell. I rebuilt the raid with another hard drive. Everything seemed fine for awhile but for the last two weeks I've been randomly receiving blue screens without consistent reasons in the visible portion of the report.
Not sure how to escape this infinite loop. It started with me copying the OEM recovery partition from my Ideacentre b540 to an external hard drive to free space on my desktop hard drive. I tested the recovery program and it couldn't locate the recovery drive. I went ahead and copied the...
