Hi folks,

Is it possible to replace the Explorer.exe in Windows Developer Preview without making Windows to shut down the new Explorer.exe?

The problem is: Windows is checking if the Explorer.exe is genuine, and if it finds out that it isn`t, Windows doesn`t want to run the new Explorer.exe and Windows doesn`t work anymore.

Thanks.

Because when I replaced the old one with a new it said something about a certificate and didn`t launch explorer.exe anymore. I had to reinstall Windows.

Thanks for the tool.

I wanted to have a new start orb, so I copied the original and edited it, changing the .bmp files in it (which ofc. is the orb images) and replaced the edited one with the original. When I did that, Windows didn`t want to launch explorer anymore.

Try to refresh/reset your Windows via boot
