    allowing space between metro apps?

    hey folks,

while setting up my metro start menu, i've run into another issue, which is bothering me.

normally, the alignment of icons/apps in the menu is always starting from the top left to the lower right. the first app will always be placed at the top, the second one always below the first, etc.

is there any way or tool to place the apps where i want to? i.e. bottom, center, 2nd of top, etc.
i cannot believe that this isn't implemented from the very start, really o_O

being some sort of deskmodding whore, this is actually rather crucial for me, so i'm hoping for some positive answers.

i know there's some sort of workaround by using oblytile and creating "blank" app tiles with a proper snippet of the metro background as tile icon; but that's gonna become rather feasible when you're switching around wallpapers or apps more often, so i'd like to avoid it if possible.

    thanks

    regards

    jan

Hi there pakZ, und ein sehr guten Tag gewŁnscht!

Actually....you already provided the answer yourself ==>

It is not (yet) possible to influence the position of the tiles in Start, except via the workaround as described in the quote. Perhaps the Blue update, beeing released this summer, will bring more modification options. We will see!

Microsoft Defends Screen Space Wasting Metro Apps
I have noticed that several of my streaming apps.. such as Pandora, Slacker, Radyo .. start to accumulate large chunks of space within the W8 Metro side of things. In one instance, Radyo ( which I use for shoutcast streaming and do not actually record streams ), was up to 7.5 gb. I could...

OK, i'd like to make it clear that i'm using the so-called "real" Administrator account that is hidden but can be activated, not a regular account with admin privelidges. At first i was trying to figure out if Metro apps can be used by this account, and it appeared that they cant, but managed to...
