Removing Windows 8 Default Start menu?

I know it might not be possible, but I was wondering if there any way to remove the default start desktop and revert back to old desktop and start menu?

I like the new start desktop menu, but only if I had touch screen monitor or tablet to use with.

    just rename shsxs.dll.

Use a batch file if you like, to save doing it manually.

Then when you are in "Desktop mode", make a shortcut to it.

If you go back into Metro mode use Taskmgr run.

You will need to log of and back after to get the change.
