Solved Music Controls (i.e. next, previous track) for Lock Screen

I wonder would anybody know anything about this...

I want to be able to have next/previous track functionality from the Lock screen.

I have the required keys on the keyboard, however they do not take effect from the lock screen (whereas volume up/down do).

Would anybody know anyway to get this, or even any music player program/app that allows this (that adds music controls, however limited, to the lock screen? or allows next/prev track keyboard keys to work from lock screen?) I believe windows 8 phones have this. Note that winamp global keys do not work from Lock Screen either.

Or am I missing the point of the lock screen altogether!?

Whoops, just noticed that when using the built in music app, the volume controls on keyboard, when pressed, cause that app's music controls to appear momentarily on the lock screen. This appears to be the case with any new metro music app.

I find this particularly annoying, I have a yoga 11s and typically have it folded in a tablet form so the keyboard is not accessible. Having to press the volume buttons to get the music player up then trying to readjust the volume back a desirable level is more work than just unlocking laptop. Did you ever find an alternative way to do this? It would be great if we could just double click the home button or perform some gesture to get it to appear.
