Icon Spacing in File Explorer

I've read the info on how to change icon spacing on the DESKTOP here . I know how to use Ctrl and the scroll wheel to make icons larger or smaller in FILE EXPLORER. But that's not what I'm asking about either.

I want to change the icon spacing in FILE EXPLORER. (while viewing icons as extra large, large, or medium). I don't want to change the font size or the icon size ...just the spacing.

Is there a way to do this?

I believe that is a per user setting. The icon spacing on your desktop will be the same in all your folders.
Brink's tutorials are usually pretty easy to follow.

Just click any of the icons at the top of this page Windows 8 Tutorials
or the complete list here Windows 8 - Tutorial Index

Thanks, I searched through the tutorials and did not find a solution. There is a tutorial about how to change the icon spacing on the desktop, which I've already done. On the desktop, I made my icons wider than they are tall. This did not change the icons in my folders however. The icon spacing on my desktop is NOT the same in all my folders. That is the problem I'm trying to resolve.

There is a tutorial about changing column widths in folders, but this only applies to the "details" layout, not icons.

There was a way to do this in XP, but apparently not in Windows 8.
