This might not be something that is possible. But ill try....

I like the Metro UI
Tho since i am sitting infront of my desktop computer i dont see the need of a desktop mode and a metro UI mode.
I rather want to merge them.

So that the metro UI are an interactive background in desktop mode.
a "desktop" that have everything as the metro UI have but i am in desktop mode.
i have the taskbar visible all the time, my icons on my desktop are gone and replaced by the metro UI.

am i making any sense?

thanks
that looks interesting

the reason for asking is that i belive it is wierd ot have two separate modes when using a desktop PC with a mouse and keyboard
would feel much more fluid if i had both at the same time. the removal of the start menu would make more sense for many if they direct had a new menu/start screen in front of them.

i can understand the metro UI mode tho more when talking about other devices like tablets
then it makes more sense to have a rapid mode that works with touch based controls.
